1. Remind them of the house rules

The first thing to do when renting your home during the holidays is to warn travelers about respecting the rules inside but also outside.

Indeed, inside the accommodation, we think of telling travelers that they must be careful not to do damage but this is not always the case for the outside.

Whether for seasonal rentals, houses or apartments, you have neighbors who must be respected. And as hosts, we must remind them of the rules of good neighborhood to avoid any conflicts.

Indeed, during this holiday season you know full well that the travelers you receive are coming to your home to meet, and probably to party. That's why you can also kindly ask your travelers if they plan to have a party to put a little note in the condominium to warn that there may be exceptionally a bit of noise and that they apologize in advance for the inconvenience that this could generate.Unfortunately, and despite warning tenants about respecting the rules, some people do as they please and that's why we recommend other solutions to set up.

2. Be sure to set up a deposit system

4. Protect your home with home insurance adapted to the short term

As the owner of your rental, you probably already know that it is imperative to take out PNO (Non-Occupying Owner) insurance.

But, to have the best guarantees in the event of damage caused by a tenant (excluding involuntary damage to the furniture), we recommend that you take out PNO insurance including one of the following clauses: “property intended for short-term rental”, “movable capital” and “waiver of recourse”.
